HISTORY AND ANCIENT SITES

This is a unique opportunity to discover modern and ancient Greece, starting from Athens and finishing at Thessaloniki the vice capital of Greece which was named after the sister o Great Alexander.

DAY BY DAY SCHEDULE 

DAY 1 ATHENS

Arrival in Athens and transfer to your hotel! After some rest a Half day walking city tour will be held ! Rest of the day free!

DAY 2 ATHENS – DELPOI

Today we are taking you back to ancient Greece! A magical journey across the famous Delphoi through a guided tour. Lunch at Delphoi and return to Athens. Rest of the day free!

DAY 3 ATHENS – SOUNIO

We are visiting one of the most famous Athens attractions, Sounio. The southest part of Athens where especially in the afternoon you can have a breathtaking experience of the Greek sunset! Lunch at a wonderful restaurant and the rest of the day free!

DAY 4 EPIDAYROS – TOLO – NAFPLIO

A small tour of Peloponnese! We will visit one of the most famous ancient theatres in the world, Epidavros and lunch.

Afterwards, we are visiting Tolo, a traditional village in Greece. Lastly, we are visiting Nafplion, the first Capital of Greece. We’ll have dinner and spend the night in Nafplion.

DAY 5 NAFPLIO – MYCENAE – ANCIENT OLYMPIA

First thing in the morning we are visiting archaeological site of Mycenae. Later in the day we are visiting the famous Ancient Olympia. Lunch there. Our day ends at ancient Olympia or Kyparrisia where a dinner and a sleep over will take place.

DAY 6 ANCIENT OLYMPIA – METEORA – THESSALONIKI

Visit to Meteora with the most impressive scenery of ageless monasteries. Then we are going for lunch in Litochoro, the village in the shade of Olympus. Our day ends in Thessaloniki, the vice capital of Greece!

DAY 7  THESSALONIKI – VERGINA – PELLA

First thing in the morning we are visiting Vergina and it’s unique museum. Return at Thessaloniki for shopping therapy, dinner at famous Greek restaurant and experience nightlife of the city.

DAY 8 THESSALONIKI

At this day our trip ends. Free day to drink your last coffee in Greece. You will be transferred from your hotel to Macedonia International Airport according to your flight details.
